Dear all, we are glad to let you know that Sitefinity 3.1 SP1 is now available for download from your Client.net accounts.

Thanks for the continuing development of sitefinity!

Can you elaborate on the changes to the search indexing. I tested this feature in 3.1 and found it unusable due to it indexing rad control (menu content). I'd be interested to know exactly what is new.

Would be nice if for major updates email is sent to customers. The way I found out about v3.1 SP1 was by clicking on the Downloads section, looking for something else.

Hello Kevin,

Here are the changes made:

1. Navigational controls are not indexed anymore
2. Fixed a problem with encoding of foreign letters and special characters
3. Auto Index option is working now
4. Performance optimizations
5. controls now can detect if the request is made from index crawler: CmsContext.IsCrawlerRequest
