Default page in IIS7

Is there a knack to getting Sitefinity sites to work from IIS7 on Server 2008?
I've had no problems in Server 2003, everything works with minimal tweaking but I'm just having some real problems getting things to work in Server 2008.
I've migrated a project from a dev box to a live server, set the default home page to home.aspx and yet it still hits default.aspx as the home page.
Remove default.aspx from the list of default home pages and I just get an error that theres no default page set.
I've created a wildcard mapping with no joy and tried a few different things like ensuring theres no need for physical files but still no joy.
Presumably theres something I'm missing here. I usually work with IIS6 so things wouldn't be an issue there but on this particular project I have to run the solution on a new Server 2008 box under IIS7.
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

It's OK, I've fixed this.
I was setting the default through IIS after migrating the site but didn't stop to think about going through the Sitefinity control panel and re-assigning the homepage that way which worked a treat since it updated the project web.config file with everything correctly.
