Hi telerik,

I'm using the ContentView to display newsitems and also to display a single newsitem on a seperate page.

When I change the properties 'Category, tags, social bookmarks' in the designer window, and click save, then it is working as expected.

If I do the same procedure, but first edit some properties on the 'Advanced' tab in the designer, the 'BookmarkEnabled' property is set to 'True'. So every time I edit something in the designer, I have to go to the Advanced tab and explicit turn the BookmarkEnabled to 'False' (in my case).

Could you reproduce this behaviour?

Daniel

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for contacting us.

Based on your input, I believe you are asking if you edit certain properties in the Advanced Tab, why the properties are adjusted in the designer and vice versa. If you set BookMarkEnabled to false, as an example, why are bookmarks disabled in the designer? Some of the advanced tab's properties are controlled by the designer and we made the designer to make editing these properties more friendly. In our Sitefinity 3.0 version, for example, setting up the news was more difficult because there was no designer and you had to set properties similar to what you're doing with the advanced tab. So, setting the BookMarkEnabled to false is the same as switching off the book mark option in the designer.

I hope that I have understood and answered your question clearly. If you have any questions, please let us know.

All the best,

Joe

Hi Joe,

Quoting your last sentence:
"So, setting the BookMarkEnabled to false is the same as switching off the book mark option in the designer."

That is the behaviour I expect, but when I switch off the book mark option in the designer, it still is set to TRUE in the advanced tab. And when I edit any other property in the advanced tab, it seems this property is set to TRUE by loading the advanced tab. So, when I then forget to switch this property also inside the advanced tab, I see the bookmarks appear in my content view.

Hello Daniel,

We apologize for the misunderstanding - we had this problem in Sitefinity 3.2SP2, but it is fixed in 3.2SP2 hotfix 1616. If you use SP2, you could upgrade to the latest version.

Let us know if this is the case.

Kind regards,
Georgi

Well, I'm using this file version: 3.2.1616.1
So, I thought that was the latest version?

Hi Daniel,

Do you see that the social bookmarks toolbar is visible right after you save the settings in the Content View designer or you experience this after some time? We have a problem with the settings in Content View Designer, but there's a workaround that you could use. Please follow the KB Article Settings applied to the Content View based controls are reset.

Hopefully this will resolve the issue you have.
