Hi Everyone,

Is there anyone out there who is rolling out a Shopping Cart Module for Sitefinity 3.0?

I know that telerik mentioned a shopping cart back in beta 3 but there hasn't been any mention of that on the Roadmap so I am not sure if that is still in consideration.

I am hopping there is someone out there who I could possibly sell or refer me to a module that integrate nicely with the new Sitefinity, I don't want to be reinventing the wheel, and time is precious, if one already exists out there.

Hi Sean,

We do have plans to create e-commerce module. At this stage we cannot tell in which of the further versions of Sitefinity this module will be available since this task is not prioritized yet.
As soon as we have clearness on this issue we will update our Road Map.

Until Telerik does come out with their shopping cart, does anyone have a recommendation as far an ASP.NET Shopping Cart which utilizes a good object oriented architectural model, preferrably even with an O/R mapper, and who offers source code for purchase?

I was also interested in seeing shopping cart in Sitefinity, although it's primarily a CMS. I have seen an e-commerce module in Kentico CMS, but it seems to be rather basic. You can consider StoreFront - it looks good.

We have been using BV Commerce (www.bvsoftware.com) for all of our .net stores for the past few years and recommend you take a look. We are doing a very simple integration with a Sitefinity project right now (no shared member accounts) and are happy with the features each platform brings to the mix.

Is a cart module still in the future plans for sitefinity? What version can we expect it in?

Hi senzani,

We have no current plans for providing the cart module. Our plans in the future are for ensuring easy integration of Sitefinity with ASP.Net StoreFront. However, we cannot commit to a specific time frame. Meanwhile, you could take a look at the Commercefinity module - this is a module developed and provided by members of the Sitefinity community.

Hi Arlen,

How did you go with this shopping cart implementation? Were you able to integrate the system into SiteFinity? I am in the same position as you (were!), and any experiences you could share would be much appreciated!
