I have a client's website in progress using the last beta.  What is the safest way for me to update my site?  Do i need to upgrade just DLLs or DLLs and all pages/controls?  Obviously i don't want to lose any custom code, master pages, data, etc.

    Thanks,
    Craig

    Hi Craig,

Of course backup everything before you do it, but if you look in the user manual there is a section on upgrading it tells you what to change.  The dll's handle any modifications that need to be done to the database so you shouldn't lose any data but as I said you are best to make sure you have a copy of everything before even starting.

    Cheers
    Sean

    Hello Craig,

Sean is absolutely right. I just want to specify that the current manual describes the steps for upgrading form Beta 3 to the current build. If you want to upgrade from Beta 2 to Beta 3, you need to follow the steps described in the manual that comes with Beta 3 of 22Dec.

    Sincerely yours,

Ok, i'll be sure to check it out.  Thanks!  I back up everything anal retentively anyway and we're using Subversion so that covers our source code.
