Hey, is there a way in Sitefinity to designate who can add/edit/delete templates, modules, controls, etc?  This used to be an option in SF 2.7

    Hi Craig,

The only thing that is currently implemented to do with user rights for templates is the ModifyLayout permission; when it is set to Deny, the user does not see the Templates and Themes dropdowns when in Edit Page mode. Please note that Modify must also be granted.

You can set the following permissions to do with modules when you go to the Modules tab and click the Permissions link in the left pane: View, Create, Modify, Delete, ChangePermissions.

User rights to do with controls are set through Page permissions: on the Pages tab, click Permissions. Modify allows users to edit pages: add, edit and delete controls in Edit Page mode.

For more information about permissions, please refer to the User Manual > Permissions (p.64-67).

In the current RC1 edition we deliberately removed the Permissions tab from the Sitefinity Administration. It will be back in the official release and you will be able to set Global Permissions there. These will include ManageUsers, ManageRoles, ManagePermissions and ManageFiles.
