    - Running sitefinity 4.2
    - Created a search index doing content items, news items, static HTML in pages

    Noticed that our pages were not coming up in the search results.

    Created another index, making sure I clicked everything properly.  No luck.

    Researched this forum, and other links such as
    http://blog.danshultz.com/2011/05/resolving-sitefinity-4-search-not.html

    However, still no luck

    We *are* doing some custom site map stuff in our master page, but i wrapped it in
    if (Page.Items["IsInIndexMode"] == null)
    {

    }

    No errors are being returned by sitefinity.

    My pages (titles and descriptions) simply don't appear in the results.

    Not sure what do to.

    thanks,

    Chris

    Hmmm, it's not like a Lucene search thing though right where it needs wildcards (*) or question marks to complete a proper partial search?

    I've always found it annoying that I can't get a google-like search on content due to lucene

    Not sure what you're talking about here Steve

    I'm talking about regular searches using the search control in sitefinity.  No matter what we do, our pages will not show up in our search results, no matter what words are searched for

    thanks!

    What I meant was if you wanted to search for all pages with your name, but you just typed in "ward" nothing would come up, you would have to annoyingly do "*ward" (asterisk)

    So to get the obvious out of the way though...in the search widget itself you click edit and picked the proper search index right? (sorry if that's a basic thing, but I have to ask when zero results are coming back)

    Yep, i've quadruple checked, even created new indexes using pages only (no news/events/blog etc).  No luck
