    I am trying to map a view to an external template for Blog but i believe that its not working?

    I have downloaded the external templates Sitefinity_3_7_2022_community_ExternalTemplates and set the config but the Blog Control is not working. I have set the Poll and News they are working.

    Here is the configuration

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
        <!--Provides user interface for displaying the archive of the news items in the News module.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.News.WebControls.NewsArchive" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/News/ArchiveTemplate.ascx" />
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.News.WebControls.NewsView"
            <!--Provides user interface for displaying a list of news items in the NewsView control for the News module.-->
            <add key="ItemListTemplatePath" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/News/ListPageMaster.ascx" />
            <!--Provides user interface for displaying a single news item in the NewsView control of the News module.-->
            <add key="SingleItemTemplatePath" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/News/ListPageDetails.ascx" />
        <!--Gets or sets the path to a custom layout template for the PollBox control.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Polls.WebControls.PollBox" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Polls/PollBox.ascx" />
        <!--Gets or sets the path to a custom layout template for the ResultsBox control.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Polls.WebControls.ResultsBox" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Polls/ResultsBoxNoLegend.ascx" />
        <!--Provides user interface for the blog archive control, which displays archive of blog posts for the blogs module.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.BlogArchive" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/ArchiveTemplate.ascx" />
        <!--Provides user interface for the blog calendar control, which displays the archive of posts in a calendar view.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.BlogCalendar" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/BlogCalendar.ascx" />
        <!--Provides user interface for the control which displays list of comments for the blog post in the blogs module.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.BlogCommentsList" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/CommentsList.ascx" />
        <!--Provides user interface for displaying a list of bloggers in the blogs module.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.BloggersList" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/BloggersList.ascx" />
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.BlogPosts"
            <!--Provides user interface for displaying a list of posts in the BlogPosts control in the blogs module.-->
            <add key="ItemListTemplatePath" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/ContentViewItemList.ascx" />
            <!--Provides user interface for displaying a single post in the BlogPosts control in the blogs module.-->
            <add key="SingleItemTemplatePath" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/ContentViewSingleItem.ascx" />
        <!--Provides user interface for the control which renders header links for the blogs module.-->
        <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Blogs.WebControls.HeaderLinks" layoutTemplatePath="~/CustomTemp/ControlTemplates/Blogs/HeaderLinks.ascx" />

    the files are in the right places but when i tried to see the content that i have changed it shows the standard layout that is coded in dll.

    Can someone confirm that ?

    I have another question why isn't there a Forum External Template in the zip file?

    Hello Damir,

    Please take  a look at the following blog post - Mapping_ContentViewDesigners_and_working_with_Presentation_Modes.

    We have embedded templates for all Generic Content based modules. All forum templates was left in the project. The module will be rewritten for 4.0 and all module template will be embedded.
