    We're having a few issues with one of our customers running sitefinity. They were on an older version (3.6 i think) and so i upgraded them to 3.7 SP4 to hopefully fix the issues, however they have not.

    Since the upgrade every now and again it is showing that they are running a trial version of sitefinity (see attached) - however this has never done it before.

    Also their rad-editor is formatting code weirdly, they use the design view to create content, then the HTML ends up looking like this:

    <h3>Example - <em>Example</em></h3>
    <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13px;"><img alt="" style="margin-top: 10px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; width: 101px; float: left; height: 134px;" src="/Libraries/Common/img.sflb.ashx" sfref="[Libraries]10111d2f-4355-4e4c-8078" /></span><span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Example Text. </span> </span></span></p>
    <p><span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial;">Example Text.<br />
    <br />
    <span style="font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Example Text.   </span></span></span></span></span></p>
    <hr style="clear: both;" />
    <p><br />
    <p> </p>
    <p><br />

    Which results in several unwanted spaces/line breaks and formatting.

    The other thing is the inability to 'drop' controls on a page. One page in participial which has around 20 generic content blocks on the page, and for some reason they can edit/delete the controls, however when they try drag and drop them to a different location on the page the 'drop here' box does not appear, and so it does not allow them to move content.

    Please can someone help me with these 3 issues.

    Hi Paul N,

    To your first question: please refer to approach mentioned in this KB article.

    To your second question: IF they are pasting the text from another context like an e-mail or a web page some of the formatting will be transfered. Use the strip tool to clear span tags.If you are adding empty rows they will be rendered as <p></p>.

    To your third question: there must be something wrong with the master page template you are using. Can you test if you can drop controls on a blank template then you must compare the changes of the blank template(or a sample master page that works )with the template that is problematic.

    Best wishes,
