My site is set up in the following fashion:
    / Home
    / All Departments
          / Department X
          / Department Y
          / Department Z

If I give a role permissions to edit a single department (say, Department X), the site map is empty for users in that role. To have the site map be populated, the role must have 'View' Permissions for 'All Departments', which is a top level page.

Am I doing this wrong, or is there some fix for this issue available?

    Hello Matt,

This is by design. You should set view permissions for a top level page and the pages will appear in SiteMap treeview.

    Kind regards,
