    Hi Guys,

Did any body get this error: An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in Telerik.Cms.Data.DLL.

One of my co-worker added a  user control into the web.config file, and open the admin page, he didn't try to drag the new user control to any page, then he took the user control from the web.config file.  After  when we go back to admin page,  the pages link  doesn't work any more, sometimes it stops DefaultAppPool. When I debuged I get the above error. My guess is somehow the databse got messed up.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Amy,

You are right that the database gets messed up, that was a bug in Sitefinity 3.0. It happens when in the Site Map tree view in Pages you drag and drop a page into one of its subpages. The infinite loop appears in sf_PageBase table where page IDs and their parent IDs are stored. The case is that for example "page1" is set as parent of "page2", which is parent of "page1". To solve this problem, you have to manually modify one of the parentID fields for one of the problematic pages (you can set it to NULL). This will, however, change a little the hierarchy of your pages, but you will be able to restore your site.

This TreeView bug was fixed for Sitefinity 3.0 SP2, so if you use the latest version, you won't be able to reproduce such a behavior. Sorry for the caused inconvenience.

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team
