I have been using Sitefinity for quite some time now and this is the first time I have ever been asked by my content team how to do this. I searched around and did not find an answer but the terminology may be wrong.

My marketing person was trying to simply highlight text and then browse to an image she had uploaded previously. So the link would pop open a window directed at the image file. Sitefinity allows this for PDFs or anything classified as a "document" but not for images. Is there a change I can make to one of the dialogs to allow for this?

    Hi Joshua,

There is a LibraryImageDialog that returns the path to the image, but inside <img> tag which automatically renders the item. So, you need a custom RadEdtior button which calls LibraryImageDialog and then you should return the image location to the href of anchor. You could reuse the current dialog -Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Libraries\Dialogs\ImageEditorDialog.ascx and modify its insertLink() function.
