Sorry if this has already been answered before.

I currently have hosting with Fasthosts and was doing some work for a client with Sitefinity and put it up on my demo site for them to view, all ok here.  The client was happy so I told them to purchase the same hosting which they done and I deployed exactly the same code to their hosting package which kindly produces a 500 error.

According to fasthosts this is because the handlers and modules section of the web.config cannot be modified, I have done this but it basically means you cannot navigate through the site now (

i know this is more of a hosting issue but they are really poor at at giving me a proper answer to why my demo site works and not the live site, they just keep giving me a stock answer of the above issue.  Is there anyway I can make some modifications to get this to work without using the handlers and modules section of the web.config?

    Many thanks

    Hi Lee,

Sitefinity cannot work properly if the requests to its http modules and handlers are blocked. Most probably your host has made some restrictions, so you could ask them if would be possible to add HandlerMappings for the extensions used in HttpModules and HttpHanlders section. All images and documents are processed through ContentHttpHandler which works with sflb.ashx extensions.

    Best wishes,
