Does the domain entered in your "My" account for the Sitefinity license have to be a Fully Qualified Domain, meaning

I would like to use it for an Internal Only web application similar to an Intranet were users never hit an external web server. I would like to only use "website" and not the "www" or ".com" as we internally point the DNS server with the host header.

Lastly, would this be in the realm of purchasing a license since we internally point an IP to host header domain?

    Hi Antonio,

As you'll be using Sitefinity in a production environment, you need to have a license as the trial software distribution is meant only for evaluation purposes.

As for generating a license key in a format that will work for you, it has to be done manually in our system, as the online validation will not allow it. All you need to do is drop us an email ( or open a support ticket with the exact name that you are going to use and the key will be generated and sent to you.

    All the best,
    the Telerik team
