    Hi

I have a sitefinity website setup in IIS7 and am attempting to set up another site beneath it which sits in it's own application. I have used a <remove /> element to remove all inheritances from the sitefinity web.config. However I seem to be unable to remove the reliance on the CmsSiteMapProvider, it is still attempting to load it even when using a <clear /> element inside SiteMap/Providers. I am receiving the following error:

Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'Telerik.Cms.Web.CmsSiteMapProvider'.

Could you please let me know how I can resolve this.

    Thanks

    Brin

    Hello Brin,

Thank you for using our services.

You can use <location path="." inheritInChildApplications="false"> to lock the <sitemap> configuration section so that it is not inherited in your child application. You can also take a look at this forum thread which discusses the topic: http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-3-x/general-discussions/sitefinity-in-the-site-root-dealing-with-inheritance.aspx.

    Sincerely yours,
