    I have inserted a image in the generic content
    If i select the button and try and link to a document using the document manager, it just deletes the button and insert's text in it place (it actually asks you what text you want to use

    is there a way around this so i can use a button to link to the document?

    Hello Quade,

    Well, this exactly how the LibraryImage and LibraryDocument Managers work.
    We agree this is not at all convenient and we'll definitely think of something for the upcoming release.
    The only workaround for the time being is to switch back to the original RadEditor dialogs.
    This is how to do it:
    In the ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/EditorToolsFile.xml, delete the word Library in the name of these tools:
        <tool name="LibraryImageManager" text="Insert an image"/>
        <tool name="LibraryDocumentManager" text="Insert a document"/>
    Thus you'll enable the classic Image and Document Managers and you'll be able to insert images from the file system only.

    We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Your Telerik account has been updated for drawing our attention to this.

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team

    There is a work around for this...

    Insert your document as normal which will insert the text onto the page.  Space over a couple of places and then insert the image that you want to use from your document library or file system.

    Once both are on the page go into the HTML editor and select and cut the code for the image and place it inside the <a href=" "></a> tags for the document replacing the text that is there.  Viola!

    Your image will have a border but you can kill that by adding border="0" inside the img tag.

    I know this is a pin but I am sure Telerik will give us an option in the future to select text or an uploaded image.

    Thanks bleutiger,

    I doubt this will work with end users
    its certainly an option for the more technically capable though so thanks for that
