    Hi Richard Jordan,

    Thanks for contacting us.

The Blogs and News controls, which are the NewsView and Blog Posts controls, will inherit CSS from the page's theme.

These templates are editable. Both controls, under the Advanced tab > Appearance, have an ItemListTemplatePath, for all content in the list, and an SingleItemTemplatePath, for a single piece of content, property.  You can set these properties to a .ascx file for the template. I have attached templates to this message. Here are the proper ones for the controls:

    News ItemListTemplatePath - ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/News/ListPageMaster
    .ascx

    News SingleItemListTemplatePath - ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/News/ListPageDetail.ascx

    Blogs ItemListTemplatePath - ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Blogs/ContentViewItemList.ascx

    Blogs SingleItemListTemplatePath - ~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Blogs/ContentViewSingleItem.ascx

Please copy the files, using the same structure as in the attachment, into your project. Make sure you include the App_LocalResources folder in there too.

Kindly let us know if you need further assistance.

    All the best,
    Joe
