    Hi All,

I’m trying to Upgrade Sitefinity 7.0 to Sitefinity 7.3, I followed below steps.

    Is it correct Process?
If Yes!  How to validate the project after upgrade?

     Sitefinity 7.3:
Creating Sitefinity 7.3 Project with Project Manager 7.3 and Build the solution.

    Sitefinity 7.0:
Creating Sitefinity 7.0 Project with Project Manager 7.0.
Created Modules with module builder, Custom Field widget controls and Pages.
Remove the 7.0 Bin and Replaced 7.3 Bin in Sitefinity 7.0 solution.
Change the version number in AssemblyInfo.cs (7.0.5100.0 to 7.3.5610.0).
Added Newtonsoft.Json assembly Identity in web.config.
Run the solution, upload and activate 7.3 license.

Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Sitefinity.RecycleBin, Version=7.3.5610.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b28c218413bdf563' or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

Note : Manually added References 'Telerik.Sitefinity.RecycleBin’ then its works without issue.

    Hi Ajay,

This does not look like the correct procedure to me. See this page for the entire process.

My way to validate the project is to upload it to a staging server, then follow your own internal procedure to check all critical pages and tools of the website. In my opinion that's the only way to be 99.9% sure all is fine and you are not suffering from bugs introduced in the new version. After that you can update the production server.

    Good luck!
