After you create a dynamic module from Administration -> Module Builder
and the newly created module is active, you should be able to create dynamic module items of this type under the Content
tab. Can you please make sure that the module is active. In order to check this, please go to Administration -> Modules and Services
, find your module and check if its status is Active
Sitefinity also creates built-in widgets for the dynamic modules. Please open a page in edit mode and you should see the built-in widgets in the toolbox on the right-hand side. Here is a sample screenshot

It is also important to note that if you are in a multisite mode, you need to configure the modules for the specified site and select the data source for each site. You may take a look at the following article
