    When using the urlrewrites rules, how do you set the URL to ignore the case?

    I am having issues where sometimes the URL I am matching has capital letters and fails to get caught by the correct rule.  I would like all rules to be case insensitive altogether.  How can this be done?

    Hi Jason Green,

    The ignore case is an attribute of the Url Rewrites configuration section. Can you try to add the setting to true like this in your web.config:

    <urlrewrites ignoreCase="true">
         <!-- Add your rule elements here -->
           <url>[input URL pattern]</url>
           <rewrite>[replaced URL]</rewrite>

    Best wishes,

    Is there a guide to the urlrewriter and the different attributes you can set on <rule> and <urlrewrites>. I've searched all around and all I find are forum posts from users explaining these 1 by 1. A full tech sheet or guide would be nice.

    Hi Matthew,

    There are other attributes related to RewriteMode - set through <rule mode="">

    Rewrite - rewrite the url
    PermanentRedirect - 301 redirect
