    I need a better thumbnail selection control for choosing images that have already been uploaded to the server.  I have already followed these instructions:

    The problem is that I need to be able to search for a file once I have selected the images folder.  The image folder that the thumbnail will be selected from has over 1,000 images in it, so paging through the list isn't going to work.  Are there any other pre-existing options or could the control in the article mentioned above be customized to add a search feature?

    Hi Adam,

    Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with an example for the required functionality. You need to create your own property editor (similar to Telerik.FileManager.UrlWebEditor) and implement the search functionality in it. Then you should modify ThumbnailControl  - the select button CommandName should be replaced with the type of your own property selector:

    btn.CommandName = "Full_Class_Name, Assembly_Name"

    For details refer to the following blog post: Working with complex properties in Custom public controls (WebTypeEditor)

    Do let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team
