Can CAPTCHA be integrated for forms for SItefinity? Is there code setup in the back-end or do we have to code this manually?
    Thanks for any responses.

    Hi Mike,

We support this functionality. You can read all about it in a nice KB article we have set up on forms spam protection. Also, you can have a look at the Developer Manual where the code is available for download.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Tihomir,

CAPTCHA is working fine, however, I would like to override some of the automated output / formatting:

    a) the user instruction message  'Type the code shown'

    b) the CapcthaInvalidInputMsg css class

Where can I find / override the CAPTCHA control?

    Thanks, Mark

    Hello Mark,

Both tasks could be done through the Spam Protector's designer.

    a) the user instruction message  'Type the code shown'
This message could be changed from Spam Protector's Advanced -> Captcha section and the property CaptchaTextBoxLabel.

    b) the CapcthaInvalidInputMsg css class
You can create a new class that will style the "Invalid Input" message. This style could be declared in your website theme, or in any other css file that is included in the page, which holds the Spam Protector. For example, if you use Blue with right sidebar theme, you should define the style in \[YourProject]\App_Themes\Blue with right sidebar\blue_right.css
When you define the style, you should tell the Spam Protector to it. As mentioned, this could be done at the Advanced tab, Appearance -> ErrorMessageCssClass property.

I have attached screenshots of these two properties.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

    Kind regards,
