I have a site in 3.0.  I haven't upgraded to SP2 yet.  Does SP2 have categories for the news module, or is there something i'm missing in 3.0 ?  We need the same news functionality on different pages, but we need to show different news content.

Also, is there any plans to open up the modules' source code, so we can modify the logic if necessary?

    Hello Fregas,

We are currently working on Categories and Tags for Generic Content. All modules based on Generic Content (News, Blogs, Photo Albums) will support taxonomy and folksonomy. These features will be available in the September release.

As for your second question, we have planes to make code library section on our site and provide some open source modules. Which modules will go there has not been decided yet.

    Sincerely yours,
    the Telerik team

Please, create a new forum rubric to opensource modules and donation modules by users.  I'm not great developer and many Sitefinity users are created very differents modules such Imran (more than 38?)

Please make more contributions in Sitefinity Blog for dev, and we wait the video tutorials for developers and clients after few months (beta1).

    Hi Pierre,

Providing a way to share ideas and knowledge is of major importance for us, so we'll create the code library very soon.
Indeed, you are right that there has not been much blogging activity at, given the busy times.

The first video tutorials are planned for version 3.1 in September.

Again, thank you for your involvement and feedback.
