I added the scheduler control to my application so I had to upgrade the Telerik.Web.UI to the latest version in order for the project to compile but now I get the following error on the News and Generic Content page when I try to create a new item.

Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2008.1.515.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

I have deleted the dll from the GAC so it should be picking up the new DLL from the bin folder but it is still looking for the old one.

    Hi rmoynihan,

Changing the assembly for the RadControls should be followed by adding a Binding Redirect for this assembly in the web.config file.

Please, follow the instructions from the User Manual section Upgrading RadControls, point 5.
Take into consideration the fact that the example is for one control.
Since you want to change all RadControls you need to use the Telerik.Web.UI.dll assembly.

    I hope this helps.
Let us know if more instructions are needed.

    Kind regards,
    the Telerik team
