    Hello Sir,

We are using the sitefinity 3.7 version for my project.

We can create a sitefinity project by using Start->All Programs->telerik->Sitefinity3.7->Sitefinity3.7->in the browser "Create New Project" button->Giving Project Name as "MySite"->Next Button->Select a Template->Create this project button.

Our requirement is to create the sitefinity project programmatically.  Like on button click event in ASP.NET site, we wants to create the sitefinity project by giving the project name and others parameters (as template name and database source etc.).

I hope this is possible in sitefinity 3.7, so please give me suggestions/views on that.  Suggestions are always welcome.

    Thanks,
    Varinder Kumar

    Hello Varinder Kumar,

There is no API exposed that will allow you to create a project in this way. You could use Sitefinity Project Manager or Sitefinity Wizard.

    Hello Varinder Kumar,

Sitefinity 4.0 also comes with a project manager which has built in web server. Once you run a project you should go through the Project Wizard.

I don't know if this works but you can try it ... What if you can get the sitefinity blank project and a blank sitefinity database ... for every project you simply copy the blank project and configure the database connection in the web.config using file IO. You can also configure programmatically the project name in the web.config ...Will that work Ivan ?

    Best,

    George

    Hello G-force,

This will work, but you cannot escape the Wizard - "You could use Sitefinity Project Manager or Sitefinity Wizard."
