    Hello,

If we had 2 sitefinity sites, each on separate domains and website instances in IIS, would there be a way to share custom controls for these 2 from a totally separate domain?

    For example,

We have sitefinity.site1.com and sitefinity.site2.com. We would want the users to be able to add custom controls from sitefinity.controls.com. Then, whenever we made a change to the control on sitefinity.controls.com, it would automatically propagate to the 2 sitefinity sites....

    thanks!

    Hi Adam,

This could be achieved in development environment if you work with SVN or TFS where you can get the latest version of a file. Otherwise you cannot be sure for the content of an file you have and whether something has been changed. Another option is creating a virtual directory in your IIS and put the controls there. Then each application should use them from this virtual directory. Here is a link that explains some steps - How to Share User Controls Across Applications.
