    I have a few custom fields that I added to events.  Event_Description, Event_URL, Registration_Event and Payment_Amount.  When I go to edit my Event, the fields for Registration_Event and Payment_Amount are populated while the fields for Event_Description and Event_URL are blank.  I can't figure out what I could have done differently when adding these that would be causing this.  Here is a copy of what I did in the web.config

                                        <add key="Events.LocationText" valueType="LongText" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue="" />
            <add key="Events.URL" valueType="ShortText" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue="" />
            <add key="Events.Registration_Event" valueType="Boolean" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue="false" />
            <add key="Events.Payment_Amount" valueType="ShortText" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue="" />
            <add key="Events.Event_Deadline" valueType="DateTime" visible="True" searchable="True" sortable="True" defaultValue="#Now" />

    On my events/controlpaneledit.ascx page I have copied LocationText and URL and made them my ID's on the corresponding textboxes that should be populated with the data.  What is causing this?  Thanks.

    Hello Dave,

    Usually, when you have default value set in the web.config it should appear in a textbox you have defined(or another control). The strange is that one of your fields - "Events.Registration_Event" has default value that should be applied. On the other hand "Events.Payment_Amount" does not have defaultValue set, but your control is populated.

    Check whether you have applied any default settings in your metafiled controls. If the poblem persists, you could send us your templates to check them locally.
