    Hello,

I need to develop a custom module for Site Finity. I saw the video (http://www.sitefinity.com/Videos/Adding_Complex_Functionality_Through_Custom_Modules/) and it seems fairly simple.

I was wondering if the source code for that sample is located somewhere. Can someone point me to the right direction?

Any other samples of Custom Module development would help as well.

    Thanks,
    -Ricardo

    Hi Ricardo,

Take a look at the following links Sample Pluggable Contacts Module and Generic Content based module - sample Products

    I hope this helps.

    Ivan,

I've created my own pluggable module. After creating the libraries and making the right reference son my web.config I can see the module as an option.

When I click on it, I get the following error:

Invalid resource name (EC.Ads.Resources.ControlTemplates.Backend.AdsItemsList.ascx) for assembly (EC.Ads, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null) or empty template.

The template is actually in the proper folder. If there anythign special that I need to do when embeeding ".ascx" as resources?

Do you have a suggesting on how to resolve this? Any leads would be greatly appreaciate it.

    Hi Ricardo,

Most probably the template has not been built as Embedded template. To fix the problem rebuild the templates as Embedded resources( right click on each template, choose properties and  set BuildAction to Embedded templates).

    Kind regards,
