    Hi there,

Setting up a forum in a sitefinity project we have, however the templates that come with SF seem to be very basic in terms of visual display. There is nothing in the external control templates either. Do SF have any visually design templates for the forums module? Maybe the template used in SF own Forum which seems to be pretty nice?

Or other questions related to this topic is, in SF Forum, it shows number of visits on a thread, how can i get the same in the singleForum.ascx file?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Hello Rehan Butt,

Thank you for using our services.

Unfortunately we do not have extended styles prepared for the forums module. However we do provide the style sheet used so that you can style the forums controls as you wish. The forums on the Sitefinity website are not based on the forums module of the CMS. Unfortunately this means that feature as in your last question are not available out of the box. This means that a new module, deriving from the built in one has to be written.

The good news here is that we are currently rewriting the Forums module for our next major release of Sitefinity - Sitefinity 4.0. Where features like this one will be available.

    Kind regards,
