I have downloaded the standard trial of sitefinity and I am playing around with it to see if it will fit my needs,
I have a simple task that I am trying to accomplish but not having much luck finding the info to do it.
So i have defined about 20 different Generic content items that will show up on different pages.
I have of course filled out the Title and Content for each, but when i drop them on pages
I would like to customize it so that they show up like this

    [ICON] GenericContentTitle
    Generic Content.. etc etc

basically have it so that when i drop one of these controls I can provide a url for the icon that will show up next to the title and on the next line I want the actual content.

I believe i need to derive my own "control" from generic content list to achieve this but I am not really sure how to go about doing this or where to start.

    Hi Zoinky,

We have KB articles for customizing GenericContent. You can do it with user control (a bit easier) and custom control.

Thank you for using our services.

    Kind regards,
