Hi there. I had a play with sitifinity and it looks very slick. We are looking for a similar solution for our project. The main requirement is that the cms should be able to serve either a flash or an accessible xhtml version of the content.
The Flash version would interact to with the server via web services, loading content, assets location etc, and sending form data back. Basically something like SOAP or RPC.

Is that possible, and how would we go about doing it? I understand how you can embed a swf in a page, that's no problem, but once loaded how can the swf(s) interact with the back end? Would we have to create a service, let's call it FlashWebService, based on the same model as RSS?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Fritz,

Yes, it is possible to build such a site with Sitefinity, as we use standard ASP.NET controls, which makes  Flash embedding a breeze. And you will have to implement a service.
If possible I reccomend using Silverlight technology. Being a client-side technology, you have no access to the server. For example, in vanilla Silverlight, the only way to bind a data grid is to build a web service
The standard location for Sitefinity's services is ~Sitefinity\Admin\Services. If you go there, you will see that in Sitefinity, we already use client-side data binding for the Generic Content-based modules.

    All the best,
