Is it possible to disable the "redirect to first sub-page" behaviour for Page Groups?

Reason being is that I have a RadMenu that expands on hover and I don't need the root menu item hyperlinked.

    Hello chris_cf,

Thank you for using our services.

You can use HideUrlForGroupPages property of the RadMenu control. When set it to true - the group page items will be expanded, but you will not be redirected to the first page.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely yours,

Why is that property named "HideUrlForGroupPages" when it has nothing to do with what is actually does. Shouldn't it be renamed to "Disable Redirect to Sub-pages within Page groups" or something else that is a more accurate and verbally descriptive to the end-user of the CMS?

I'm frustrated because I just spent an hour figuring this out. The whole CMS contains horrible UI examples such as this throughout many controls.

    Hello Joel Housman,

The property actually sets e.Item.NavigateUrl  of the RadMenuItem to an empty string which disables the url. As a result clicking the a group page does not make any redirect, because there is no url.

We will consider how to rename the property for Sitefinity SP4. Meanwhile you can do this in Sitefinity\UserControls\Navigation35\SiteMenu.ascx.cs where HideUrlForGroupPages is defined.

    Kind regards,
