In the Images & Documents module you can create different libraries of type 'Document' or 'Image'.

I created a document library called 'research'
I created a document library called 'newsletters'
I created an image library called 'covers'

There is a nifty control called 'DownloadList' that will display the most recently uploaded files.  This is half-way to what I require.  However, the DownloadList will display BOTH documents and images.

What I need is to have the DownloadList only display the most recently uploaded documents for
      1) a particular type of library: either Document or Image or Custom
      2) a specific library: either research or newsletters

Can the default control provide such functionality?
If it doesn't provide this feature, what is the recommended approach to achieve my goal?

    Hi Michael,

The default control can display items from a particular library. Please check the attached screenshot, which is showing the settings screen for this scenario.
However, the control is not supporting the functionality, to display items by a particular type (or Library type). You can try to use our API, in order to create a new control which is taking the items by their type:
Let me know if you need any further information on this.
    Best wishes,
