I have several documents in my Document Library with tags added to each document.

My website has links to these documents, and a search function.

If a user searches on a tag that I've added to one of the document, will they be able to find that document?

    I have a PDF document called "ProductInfo.pdf".
I added tags to it named "apples" and "oranges".

If a user searches on "apples", will the search show the ProductInfo.pdf document on the search results page?

    Hi Joshua Martyn,

The items will not be found if the user searches for tags. There are two ways in which you can make this possible:
    • Creating a custom search indexing provider. There is such example in
    • exposing the tags under each image. This way, the page indexer might be able to grab the word and associate it with the current url.
    I hope this helps.
