We are using siteFinfity for the first time and as with all new project have to make a decision on how to handle exceptions thrown by our code. We have many custom libraries that we have used for other products, but i am wondering if sitefinity has anything built in that we can leverage without adding a whole bunch of new dlls and functionality.

To give you and  example of what we are trying to do, all projects we work on have some form of central logging for exceptions, and on some ASP.NET projects we are able to implement libraries for displaying standard error output to users on all pages.

Does siteFinity have anything liek this out of the box for custom modules? and if so can you point me to any documentation/blog posts on recommended usage?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Joel,

You can catch all of your errors in the Global.asax file and the following method:
        void Application_Error(object sender, EventArgs e)

Furthermore you can use the custom errors section in the web.config file, in case your application returns Response codes.

I hope this will help you.
