    Hi,

I'm new to Sitefinity and I am trying to build some pluggable custom modue called "Training".
Basically, this module will be pretty much same as Event module.
The difference is when you drill into Training module, you will have training course lists.
If you drill into any training course, you will have one or more training sessions which is similar to event items in Event module.

I was thinking I could inherit Event module for my training session, and use category function to wrap up sessions included in the training course.
So, I need to extend existing categoty funcion to be able to add something like Description and mapping to training sessions.
    Is this feasible?
If not, what do you suggest?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Ricky Chung,

Category is a metakey and it cannot be extended. You could create another metakey and use it to persist some specific data for your sessions.

    Kind regards,
