    Hello,

Maybe this question is asked but I couldn't find it through the search:

I want to extend the list module so it has a few more text fields, is that possible?

    Hi Angel,

It is possible but this module - Lists is not GenericContent based which means that you need to create a new dbclass using Nolics to persists the data form the custom text boxes. This will also require the override the existing module.

    Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the answer, butI don't understand few things:

    1. how do I create .dbclass since I don't have nolics installed (do i need it installed?) or i have to pay for license?
    2. how do i override correctly the list module, is there a how-to or some kind of manual?

    Thanks again!

    Hello Angel,

    1. You can add just reference to Nolics.Engine.v4.2.dll located under your bin. Then you can write your dbclass. Afterwords, a Designer.cs partial class will be generated.

    2. You can take a look at the following sample module - Sample Intra site module.

    Hi,

How do I write my dbclass using the Nolics dll? is there a How-To? which describes it from the very beginning?

    Hello Angel,

You can take a look at the following example Creating Nolics.NET Data Access Project for Custom Module, or at Nolics.com. Since you are going to create a new data provider you can also use Open Access ORM
