I am trying to map to the external template for the Image Gallery (Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Libraries/GalleryListView.ascx), but when I select this path from Advanced >  Template Paths > ItemListTemplatePath the image just opens in a new page rather than the lightbox.  Any suggestions?

    Hi medicalwebgeek,

The template that you should use is

    [Sitefinity_3_7_standard_ExternalTemplates]\Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Libraries\Modes\GalleryLightboxList.ascx

as far as I see you are mapping

    Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Libraries/GalleryListView.ascx

which is not used for Lightbox presentation mode.

Can I put those files outside of the Admin folder?  GalleryLightboxList  & App_LocalResource\GalleryLightboxList.ascx.  I usually delete this folder off of my external facing server.

    Hi medicalwebgeek,

It does not matter where the templates will be located. The template path should be correct and should be a relative path.
