I'm currently working on a CustomWebEditor (i.e. extending WebUITypeEditor), that includes the use of a FileExplorer control. After working through some issues I have it pretty much functional.

I'm having an issue, however, with the FileExplorer at runtime. All of the secondary windows/dialogs, like the "Open File" preview window, or the "Upload File" window are rendering in a layer behind the CustomWebEditor window. Is there perhaps a piece of javascript I can use to get the layering right, or perhaps use another RadWindow to manage these FileExplorer dialogs?

I'm not familiar with the how the FileExplorer actually implements these dialogs.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

Perhaps the the z-index of the RadWindow which contains the FileExplorer is lower than the one the dialog contains. Could you please check this in your control using Firebug for example? I think it is a matter of a css setting.
If you cannot get it right, please send me the web editor so I can take a look.
