I'm modifying Control Data in the sf_CmsControlProperty, and when I run queries via SQL I see the data having changed, however SF won't see the changes until I shut it down then bring it back up

Is there a simple Refresh command?

    Hello Steve,

Most probably you are updating the staged version of the controls.
Could you please try using our APIs to change the controls you want? You may refer to the blog post http://blogs.sitefinity.com/GeorgiChokov/Posts/08-12-15/ReplaceTool_-_Globally_replace_everything_in_your_project_with_zero_efforts.aspx and download the project - it is doing the same - changing some of the control properties but with the APIs.

Blanked string replace has me worried, if two items have the same data, then both get changed, which isn't what I wanted...

I got around it by FileIO instead...store the filename in a property through the SF editor, then read from it on load, on edit put the data from it into the radeditor, and on save put the radeditor content into the file...seems to work.
