    Hello all,

I am trying to learn how to develop modules with sitefinity, and downloaded the sample, SimpleIntraSiteModule. Problem is, when I try to build the site, the CommandPanel.asx file throws an error saying RadMenu and RadTreeView cannot be found.

I noticed in the Assembly delcaration on the panel states that both these controls are contained within Assembly="RadMenu.Net2" Namespace="Telerik.WebControls" and Assembly="RadTreeView.Net2" Namespace="Telerik.WebControls".

I saw another post regarding user controls, so I tried changing the namespace to "Telerik.Web.UI" and I also tried dropping ".Net2" off the assembly names, and that didn't work. Any help would be great...

    Thanks,

    -Haddy

    Hello Sean Haddy,

As far as I see, you are using the old backend implementation. I suggest that you should take a look at this posts

Ahh, so this information is not relevant? http://www.sitefinity.com/help/developer-manual/intra-simple.html

This was the URL I was given for the developer manual.

    Hi Sean Haddy,

It is relevant for versions before 3.5. We changed the architecture since 3.6.

I was able to get the Contacts Module working via this URL. Thank you. Is there going to be a similar API documentation to the one posted in the previous link I referenced, once Sitefinity 4.0 is released?

    Hi Sean Haddy,

We will build an new developers manual, since the API has lots of changes. The 4.0 architecture differs from this one in 3.x versions.
