In previous projects using Sitefinity 3.2(or earlier) I was able to add the ability to upload a file (to the generic/news/events/etc) backend SI modules by using a snippet of code that fires off the Telerik.FileManager.

I now need the same functionality in SI 3.7 but I'm having odd issues, mainly with the paging of the Ajax FileManager. The second I click on a page link that ajax modal disappears.... Before I spend more time than I want to on this, I was wondering if anyone has a better way to work with this. I tried both the FileUpload and RadUpload controls with no luck.

What's the best practice to use when adding a custom field to one of these SI 3.7 modules?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hello Matthew,

Thank you for using our services.

You could try re-using one of the already available dialogs for uploading files to libraries. Then just save a reference to the uploaded image as meta field entry. You can take a look at the following forum thread for more information: http://www.sitefinity.com/support/forums/sitefinity-3-x/developing-with-sitefinity/adding-image-to-blog-module.aspx

    Kind regards,
