    Hi,

    We're using Sitefinity 3.6 and in a blog post by Ivan Osmak he described what we would like to do, but I am curious to know how this could be achieved.

    Simply put, we would like to have a button displayed on each page on the live side of the site.

    This button would only be visible to users who are logged in.  The button, when clicked, would redirect the user to the appropriate module in the back end for managing whatever type of page that was.

    So for example if it were a regular page, it would load up that page in the back end as if the user had clicked on the Pages tab, drilled down to wherever that page exists in the Site Map, and clicked on the "Edit this page" button.

    Your thoughts and suggestions are really appreciated.

    Hi Chris Howell,

    I have attached a sample user control achieving your task. In order to use it your application, add the following declaration your web.config file:
     <toolboxControls>
            <clear />
            <add name="EditMe" section="Most popular" url="~/path to the control" />

    Please take a look at it, and let me know if you need any further help.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi
