    Hi,

    I have a problem logging to Sitefinity as admin. All worked well, but suddenly Firefox won't let me to log in to the admin section of the CMS. I've exported all passwords from Firefox, but the password I get does not work anymore. Also, I am able to login as a limited user which I created earlier, so it seems that the system works fine. And the site works too.
    I am not sure what happened, but now I need to reset the admin password.  So, searching through forum I found this article http://www.sitefinity.com/help/developer-manual/resetting-administrator-password.html

    But, as I am not a developer, I really don't know how to do the first step that says to run the following code:
    MembershipProvider prov = UserManager.Default.MembershipProvider;
    prov.ResetPassword("admin", "");

    Please give me some in depth explanation how to do that.

    Thank you very much,
    Darko

    Hello Darko Tomic,

    Try using the second method - Changing a Setting in the Database. You need to work only with SQL Management Studio UI.

    Hello Ivan,

    Thank you for answering. I moved the site to the live test server, and I can't connect to the database at the moment. I'll try to solve this with administrator tomorrow. I just thought it would be possible without changing database settings.

    Best regards
    Darko
