    Sitefinity Team,

I am writing an Intra-Site Module and want to add permission like Sitefinity news module into this Intra-Site Module. The question is how I can extend Sitefinity permission module into my Intra-Site Module.

    Thanks in advance
    Tim

    Sitefinity Team,

I still haven't heard anything back from your team. I am just wondering if it's possible to extend permission or security module from Sitefinity using Intra-Site.

    Please let me know
    Tim

    Hi Tim,

Please, excuse us for the delay. Yes, you could extend permissions in an intra-site module. Implementing permissions in an intra-site module is very similar to doing that in a pluggable one - the same classes need to be implemented. However, due to architectural differences, there are some settings needed only for an intra-site module.  We are currently investigating this and will write to you with concrete examples which will be included in the documentation. Meanwhile, you could take a look at the Contacts module and see how permissions are implemented there.  You could find the latest version of Contacts at the following link: Contacts

    All the best,

    Hello Tim,

This problem most probably occurs because you have two different versions of Nolics.net in your project. One is the assembly coming with Sitefinity, and the other one you have installed separately. If you use Nolics from Visual Studio to create you Intra-site module, your project gets confused which version to use. To solve the issue, please uninstall Nolics.net from your machine and then install the version corresponding to your Sitefinity installation (download it from your client.net account).

    Kind regards,
    Slavo

    Sitefinity Team,

I found out last night that the version we downloaded from client.net account doesn't match with the Version of Nolics.net in the Sitefinity 3.1 SP1 package.

    The version we downloaded from
client.net account is 4.2.2520.4 and the version in the Sitefinity 3.1 SP1 package is 4.2.2522.4

Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Thanks
    Tim
