    Hi

    For localization i use the pathprefix method

    I have a languagebar component(list of hyperlinks) on a webpage. When I change the language,  the page posts back with a querystring sfopl=true. Everything is localized except the newslist on that particular page. If I load the page in this new language(by removing the querystring and pressing enter) the newslist is also in the correct language.

    Hope anyone can help.

    Hello,

    Could you please answer to the following questions:
    1 Which version of Sitefinity are you using?
    2/ Which controls do you use - News View or News List control? News List control is obsolete from Sitefinity 3.2 SP2. We recommended using NewsView control, if this is the case.

    Hi Stoyanka,

    thanks for your reply

    1)version 3.6 with hotfix
    2)the newsview control

    but the problem seems to be in the languagecontrol which generates the querystring sfopl=true in combination with the newsview control

    regards,

    Richard

    Hi Stoyanka,

    the site I use  is still on our internal network with no public acces yet. I will work on that.

    Despite my previous comments. Might it be somekind of caching problem of the newsview control? I have two articles in dutch and one in english. When i first open a page in dutch it shows two articles in dutch. When i change the language(perform a postback) in english the newsview shows only 1 article but it still is in dutch. When I load the page in english the article is in english as well.

    regards,

    Richard

    Hi dimiter,

    Here is the code that returns language list as links

    <style type="text/css">
    .langList li
    {
        float:left;
        padding: 0px;
        list-style-type:none;

    </style>

    <lng:LanguageBar  ID="list1" runat="server"
        <LayoutTemplate>
            <lng:LanguageList CssClass="langList" ID="languageList" runat="server"></lng:LanguageList>
        </LayoutTemplate>
    </lng:LanguageBar>

    You can customize the example and add images to the links.

    All the best,

    Hi

    I have another problem with localizatoin.
    I have installed Sitefinity on development server and I am working there from my local PC. I have a problem with localizaton of the news. I added a news item in 3 languages EN, NL and BG.  If I edit the news item in BG and then in EN the one in EN is visible on the three pages (the EN, BG and NL pages). If I firstly edit the EN version of the news item and then the BG one then the BG one is displayed in the three pages. So the last edited version of the news item (never mind it's BG, EN or NL) is displayed in each of the three pages. Could you help me ?

    best regards

    Hello Dimiter,

    Could you please send us your web.config file? I suspect that there might be something wrong in the configuration.
