    HI,

I am evaluating Sitefinity as a possible tool to build our website. I have downloaded a trial version for .NET 2.0. I have also use the Company website template.

    What I wanted to do:
    1. Change the company logo to our company logo? how can I get to this? it seems to be embedded onto each page but not editable.
    2. I am a .NET developer and have used Telerik ASP.NET controls before. What I wanted to do is to make sure I can design a search form, which performs a search on our SQL2000 database and return the result which is displayed on a separate page. Has anyone got an example for me to see how this can be achieved?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kristina

    Hi Kristina,

Logo is generated by the theme - in App_Themes folder. It can be removed from css file, the image could be replaced under /Images folder or you ca remove div element with id="wrapper" from your master page. Actually Company theme does not have company logo, probably you are referring to other theme.

We use Telerik.Web.UI bundle. All Telerik controls can be used in Sitefinity as they are used in other ASP.NET applications. Under Sitefinity Toolbox section you could find the build in search control that returns data from modules and pages( this could be set under Administration>> Services)

If you want ot have custom search you could create a form that execute an query against Sitefinity database with results. Another way is developing new serach indexing provider with Lucine that could be directly integrated under Administration >> Services >> Search section.

    Hi,

I decided that I would like to trial the Sitefinity version with framework 3.5 so I have uninstalled the Sitefinity3.6 version for .NET framework2.0 and installed the version for .NET framework 3.5. Now the Sitefinity websote is not working. I get "Service Unavailable". I have .NET framework V3.5 installed and VS2008 installed on the PC.

    Can you please help?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall without any luck.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Kristina Thong
