    Hi,
I have entered News Items into the News module.  They show up on our live site, but when clicking on the link to see more, there is an error that says:

    The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /healthrx/News/09-03-06/Last_round_of_beta_testing_on_PI-Dashboard_is_underway.aspx

How do I generate a separate page for each News Item to go to when the link is clicked?

    Thanks!
    Kelly

    Hi HealthRx,

You didn't specify your Sitefinity version, so I tested this with 3.6 hotfix and could not reproduce the problem.

However, if you want to make your news items appear in a new page, you can use the SingleItemUrl property on the NewsView that will display all news items, and ItemListUrl  on the NewsView control that will display the single news item. These properties actually point to the pages that contain these controls.
If you want to generate a separate page that will show content item in details you should also have NewsView control on this page.

The public controls are explained in greater detail in the manual.

    Sincerely yours,
    Dido
