    Hi all,

Ive recently been working with the newsletter module for SiteFinity. And I've run into a unusual problem.

When attempting to send out emails, i am receiving the following error.

The request failed with the error message:
    --
    <html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body>
    <h2>Object moved to <a href="/MYOLDSITENAME/sitefinity/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fMYOLDSITENAME%2fSitefinity%2fAdmin%2fServices%2fMailingWebService.asmx">here</a>.</h2>
    </body></html>

what is strange is, MYOLDSITENAME isnt actually where the instance located anymore, we have changed that to something else. Somehow, it is still
trying to locate the service through MYOLDSITENAME.

I decided to move the instance to 2 other servers to try see what happens, one running IIS6 and the other running IIS7. And i get two completely different errors.

"The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." on my local machine running IIS7

"The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request."  on another machine running IIS6

The error displays on  ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Modules.aspx?module=Newsletters directly after clicking send.

Does anyone know what might be causing this error to happen?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello Haydn,

You could find your response in the first ticket you sent us. Please do not post more than one ticket with the same question/request - we make sure no ticket is overlooked but at the same time duplicate tickets just make our work more difficult.

    Best wishes,

Hello, could you please repeat the answer here for the general public?
    I'm having the same problem:

After moving the site to another server I'm getting the following  error right after clicking  Modules/Newsletters:

The request failed with the error message:
    --
    <html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body>
    <h2>Object moved to <a href="/sitefinity/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fSitefinity%2fAdmin%2fServices%2fMailingWebService.asmx">here</a>.</h2>
    </body></html>

    Hi Eugene,

Here are the two possible reasons for the problem you experience:
    1. You do not have Ajax Components installed.
If that is the case, please, download them from this site: http://www.asp.net/ajax/

    2. You have changed the virtual directory path of your application.
There is a web service created at run time and the application takes its path when started.

If that is the case, please, follow the instructions below:

      a) Remove the current DLL file: <site virtual directory path>\ Sitefinity\ServiceAssemblies\3889AC4AF542BAC3C62ABB154E78FEA8.dll

      b) Run you site again. A new DLL file will be created automatically.

Note: if you are not able to delete the DLL due to access restriction, then, please, stop IIS,  delete the  DLL, and restart IIS.
    I hope this helps.
Please, let us know if you still experience problems or need some some further assistance.

I am also having the same problem. I deleted the dll and the app recreated it correctly but I am still getting an error on the newsletter. What virtual directory are you talking about?

Anything else that could cause this?

    Hello Jonathan Marbutt,

The virtual directory that we mentioned in our previous post, is the virtual directory of the project in IIS.

Could you please elaborate more on the error you get? If this is not the same error as the ones in this thread, we would kindly ask you to open a new support/forum thread. Screenshots or error message logs will help us a lot.

Thank you for your understanding in advance!
