I know you can drag-n-drop pages onto one another to make sub-directories. But how do I make a sub-directory without first making a page for the sub-directory itself?

    For Example:
I have a dozens of research pages. I want to put them in a sub-directory (or folder) named "docs".
I DO NOT want to create an empty page called "docs" and then drag all my research pages onto "docs" page.

So when a user is browsing the URL would look something like:

How do I do this with Sitefinity?

This seems like such a stupid question. There has to be a way to perform this simple task.

    Hi Peter Boardman,

Thank you for using our services.

Unfortunately in Sitefinity 3.x this is the only way to group pages. You have to either create a Normal Page and put children pages or when creating a page you specify that it is a Group Page. Then this page by default will not have any content and will redirect to its first child page if user has navigated to the group page.

We are working on a new implementation which we will introduce in Sitefinity 4.0. Apart from pages there you will be able to create sections, which will be used for grouping pages.

I hope that this answers your question. If you have more questions, please feel free to get back to us.
